Awareness.

So this is the first time I’ve…Tumbled in a while.

I’ve been slowly losing my faith in society.

I don’t see how watching a half an hour video on a guy called Joesph Kony, a guy who left his country 6 years ago and a forgotten man can be made ‘famous’ by annoying celebrities and putting up posters. I’ve been trying to raise awareness for the near genocide like killings of the Sinhalese government upon the Tamil civilians to people I know and I’ve gotten very little response. People tend to take it these things in…contemplate then not bother again. Even with Kony. It was trending worldwide for a day and had a butt load of views on YouTube. But really is that gonna get you anywhere? With a documentary shot by Channel 4, it shows the abject brutal murdering of Tamil Civilians and members of the LTTE army. I’m not saying what the LTTE did to go about gaining independence is right but in the video I will post within this it will show you the binding of hands, blindfolding and shooting of Tamil people. Doesn’t matter if they are rebel fighters or civilians. THEY ARE FUCKING HUMAN BEINGS. And they sit there with their trophy video’s as if shooting these people is like an award. I want to now post this clip and hope, REALLY hope you take an hour out of your schedule to sit down. Watch this all the way through and if you want to actually do something about it. With social awareness unlike Kony2012 shot by a bunch of phoney ass wankers spending only 1/3 of their so called ‘charity’ earnings in Africa taking the rest to get their trips to Africa and shoot over 273 video’s to promote it. This clip only has 2 parts & they are both only an hour long. I know as well that most people are just sitting here laughing at how ridiculous I sound but I think it’s time to squash this bull shit. So just to let guys on here know, I’m with a band who’s currently writing then recording our EP. We’ll have it with you guys soon. I’m so stoked how this has turned out. OI!!! are playing on the 27th of may if you’re available - come down! :)

My other band has 4 songs done and we’re just gonna start the last one which is most likely going to be an introduction. Not gonna reveal much but O___K_____.

If you can figure it out please come forward, cause if you can you’re ledge. If when we realise the official name you understand it, you are then a bigger legend.

Please be patient. We’ll have everything recorded soon and then we’ll be off gigging everywhere we can. We wanna see this band take off so we would REALLY appreciate your support.

Thanks so much and be sure you pick up the EP when it’s out. Most likely to be released for free too. So you won’t have to pay to hear it.

Update.

Most of my feed is just re blogged posts from other people.

Not on my blog. I keep it real homes. (Apart from that Buzz Lightyear/tron picture. That was severely bad ass.)

So 2011 has been pretty awesome so far.

Me and Ross are planning a little something something. it’s sure you to give you guys an eargasm.

Been spending a heap of time with Kiri which is always awesome :)

College got off to an allright start too. One of my college bands is sounding epic!

We got a gig in Feb @ Uxbridge campus - give me a shout for info.

Also planning to do something recording wise with my mate Treeman, If you’re a band looking to get recorded, give me a shout.

Pierce The Veil’s Selfish Machines has done it for me this year. Well written album that had me hooked from the first song. Vic Fuentes  is a fantastic vocalist.
